RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan received EU Special Representative Peter Szemnebi.




First, Peter Szemnebi congratulated the Prime Minister on the successful completion of the May 12 parliamentary elections which, as he said, had been free and fair, as a whole, and constituted a tangible step forward against the previous ones. He expressed hope that these positive trends will be maintained during the forthcoming presidential elections. "The EU followed the electoral processes with greater interest, and the results obtained are very important to us for Armenia is the first country of the region to have held elections following the approval of the Action Plan on the part of the European Union. These elections may set an example to Armenia
