On the eve of the Independence Day, the ceremony of presenting state decorations to a group of persons on the basis of a presidential decree and relevant Prime Minister's decisions was held at the Government of the Republic of Armenia.
Before the ceremony had started, RA Prime Minister A. Margaryan congratulated those present on the occasion of the 13th anniversary of independence and their nomination to state decorations.
For important personal contribution to the preparation and organization of "One Nation, One Culture" first Pan-Armenian festival, RA President's letters of appreciation were handed in to Levon Abrahamyan, President of "AlfaEl" Producing Center, Hrachia Ashoughyan, producer, Gagik Beglaryan, Head of Yerevan's Kentron District Community, Vanush Khanamiryan, Chief of the Armenian Dancers' Union, Parandzem Karapetyan, Chief of Staff of Armavir Marzpetaran, and the members of the staff of the National Opera and Ballet Academic Theater after Alexander Spendiaryan.
For active participation in the preparation and organization of "One Nation, One Culture" first Pan-Armenian festival, RA Prime Minister's letters of appreciation were handed in to Karine Khodikian, RA Deputy Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs, Jivan Movsisyan, Head of the Agency for Relations with the Diaspora of RA Foreign Ministry Staff, Nora Dayan, Head of Secretariat of the Staff of the Ministry of Culture and Youth Affairs, Susannah Khachatrian, Head of International and Diaspora Relations Department of the Staff of the Ministry of Culture and Youth Affairs, Gevorg Gevorgyan, Director of HayFilm Studio, Anahit Hacobyan, Director of Expo Media LLC, Armen Manukyan, producer of cultural programs.
On the occasion of Independence Day and for outstanding services provided to the Homeland, RA Prime Minister's letters of appreciation were handed in to Athanas Vardapet Movsisyan, Levon Margaryan, Andranik Karapetyan, Stepan Karapetyan, as well as - posthumous- to Zinaven Ghazaryan, Varag Arakelyan, and Gurgen Armaghanyan.
On the occasion of the 13th anniversary of independence and for personal contribution to the implementation of Garegin Nzhdeh's Remains Transfer Project, Rafik Martirosyan, research worker at the Institute of History of National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, Pavel Ananyan, translator-interpreter at the Republic of Armenia State Record Office, Garegin Mkhitaryan, Docent of Yerevan State Economics Institute, Artsakh Bouniatyan, Head Physician of Berdadzor, and painter Zhora Barseghyan were conferred Garegin Nzhdeh Medal by a decree of RA Defense Minister.
