Today RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan visited the Passports Unit of Arabkir District Directorate of Yerevan Town Police Department and familiarized himself with the work on the maintenance and updates of voters' registers as financed by the IFES Armenia Office under the U.S. Government-supported technical assistance facility.




In noting that good laws and political will are essential to electoral processes, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance the logistical backing of elections, starting from the preparatory stage -making up of accurate voters' registers - up till the very day of elections- communication of operative information on election outturns to election committees in the manner established by law. Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan welcomed all those who helped our country and its political forces address these issues so as to hold the upcoming parliamentary elections up to the standard.
