Arayik Harutyunyan attends the opening ceremony of the Sambo World Cup tournament
Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan attended the opening ceremony of the Sambo World Cup tournament that has kicked off in Yerevan.
Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Hasmik Avagyan, President of the Sambo Federation of Armenia Mikael Hayrapetyan, representatives of the International Sambo Federation, athletes, coaches from different countries, and other guests were also present at the opening ceremony.
The tournament is being held in Yerevan for the third time. More than 500 athletes from 22 countries will participate in the next round of the Sambo World Cup tournament, which will be held on April 11-12. The Armenian national teams will participate in the Sambo World Cup with full squads, both in sports and combat sambo. Armenia has been granted the right to hold the Sambo World Cup tournament for life.
