The regular session of the Interdepartmental Commission on Road Traffic Regulation and Overcoming Congestion Issues was held



Today, the regular session of the Interdepartmental Commission on Road Traffic Regulation and Overcoming Congestion Issues was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan.

During the session, measures aimed at increasing the discipline of road users, as well as reviewing the current approaches to organizing traffic due to the increase in the number of cars, were discussed. In this context, the possibility of applying technical solutions to overcome traffic jams was discussed. The members of the working group also presented statistical data on successful international experience. The effectiveness of road traffic rules regulating the stopping and parking of vehicles was discussed, which was followed by the presentation of proposals by the members of the working group to improve these rules.

During the discussion, professional recommendations were presented, which include the prospects for implementing relevant technical and legal reforms to improve traffic management and optimize the flow of movement.

The proposals on regulating the truck traffic management and the schedule of garbage collection were also discussed. In particular, possible regulations that could contribute to more efficient traffic management in congested areas of the city were discussed, taking into account traffic intensity, road safety requirements, as well as the interdependence of garbage collection services and traffic management processes.

At the end of the session, the Deputy Prime Minister gave relevant instructions to those responsible.
