The regular session of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Council held
Today, the regular session of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Council was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan.
In accordance with the agreement reached at the previous session, a detailed discussion was held of the content of the draft Strategic Program for the Competitiveness of Armenia’s SME Sector for 2026-2030, including the issue of forming the institutional environment necessary for the implementation of the Program. In this context, the members of the Council exchanged views on the possibility of implementing the program in the format of public-private cooperation in order to ensure the effectiveness and accountability of the planned measures.
During the session, the legislative obstacles related to the activities of non-public investment funds were also addressed. Taking into account the observations submitted by the private sector, an agreement was reached on the proposal to establish more flexible regulations from the point of view of the activities of non-public investment funds.
