Regular discussion on the practice of initiating criminal proceedings based on tax administration takes place
Today, the regular discussion was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan with the participation of representatives of concerned state departments and unions representing the private sector on the practice of initiating criminal proceedings based on tax administration.
A detailed discussion took place on the main problems identified in this direction and possible solutions to address them. In particular, the concerned departments presented possible actions to be taken to regulate the issues of the validity of reports sent to the Investigative Committee on tax issues, as well as the time-consuming nature of criminal proceedings because of their large number. Special attention was also paid to ensuring the adequacy of the measures used to fulfill tax obligations through criminal proceedings, as well as the need to reduce the cost of security measures proposed to economic operators within the framework of initiated criminal proceedings.
Referring to the proposals submitted by state agencies on possible solutions to the problems recorded, representatives of the private sector emphasized the importance of the work being carried out to resolve the problem, while at the same time presenting proposals aimed at improving possible solutions.
At the end of the meeting, the participants reaffirmed their willingness to continue discussions on the necessary actions in this direction, in order to summarize them in the near future and implement the necessary processes.
