Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan receives the Regional Director for Enlargement and European Neighborhood of the French Development Agency
Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan received the delegation led by Mathieu Vasseur, Regional Director for Enlargement and European Neighborhood Policy of the French Development Agency. The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Armenia Olivier Decottignies.
Welcoming the guests, the Deputy Prime Minister congratulated the partners on the opening of the AFD office in Armenia, expressing confidence that it will give a new impetus to the expansion of the development partnership between Armenia and France.
During the meeting, a number of issues on the bilateral agenda were discussed in detail, including policy-based budget support programs, institutional development of the water sector, as well as the development of irrigation infrastructure. The importance of expanding cooperation with the private sector within the framework of the activities of the Promotion and Participation Company for Economic Cooperation (Proparco) was particularly emphasized.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on new directions for future cooperation.
