Arayik Harutyunyan meets with the UK Ambassador to Armenia, Alexandra Cole
The Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, Arayik Harutyunyan, met with the UK Ambassador to Armenia, Alexandra Cole.
Arayik Harutyunyan noted that Armenia attaches importance to the strengthening of ties with the UK and noted that with the recent decision to elevate bilateral relations to the level of strategic partnership, we are entering a new stage of cooperation. The Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff expressed confidence that it will give a new impetus to the strengthening of multi-sectoral ties between the two countries and the implementation of joint programs. Arayik Harutyunyan also highlighted the continued support of the UK Government in strengthening democratic institutions in our country.
Alexandra Cole emphasized that her country also attaches great importance to the consistent development of relations with Armenia and the increase in the level of cooperation. The Ambassador expressed confidence that bilateral ties will expand and deepen in various directions in the coming years.
The parties exchanged views on the organization of the European Political Community Summit to be held in Armenia next year and the work being carried out in that direction. The promotion of the reform agenda of the Armenian Government, strategic communication, development of civil society and other areas of cooperation were also discussed.
