Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan chairs the regular session of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) multi-stakeholder group
Today, the regular session of the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative (EITI) multi-stakeholder group was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan.
During the session, the Deputy Prime Minister was presented with a number of agenda items, including the implementation of the mining strategy measures and the work being carried out towards more efficient and transparent management of the sector, as well as the issue of improving the process of introducing the EITI Standard.
A number of issues presented by the civil faction of the multi-stakeholder group were also discussed, around which constructive discussions were held.
During the session, special attention was also paid to the upcoming session of the EITI International Council to be held in Yerevan.
