The Government continues to implement subsidy programs: more than 1 billion drams allocated to regional administrations
Today, the regular sCabinet meeting took place, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan.
By the decision of the government, 1,582,206 thousand drams will be allocated to the staffs of regional administrations for the implementation of subsidy programs. As noted by the Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Armen Simonyan, the decision proposes to co-finance 26 subsidy programs in 24 communities.
The Government adopted a decision to improve the conditions of the program for subsidizing interest rates on loans provided for the purpose of procurement (purchases) of agricultural raw materials and to provide budgetary guarantees for the insufficient part of the security funds necessary for attracting loans by economic operators for the purpose of carrying out grape procurement in 2025. The decision, in particular, proposes that in case of insufficient collateral for loans provided to economic operators for the purpose of grape procurement (purchase), the Government of the Republic of Armenia shall provide a budgetary guarantee of up to 50% from September 1, 2025 to December 30, 2025, but not more than the value of the exported product in 2024.
By the Government decision, Kolya Mikaelyan was dismissed from the post of Vayots Dzor regional governor, and by another decision, Vahagn Arsenyan was appointed as the regional governor of Vayots Dzor.
The Government adopted a decision that provides for partial compensation for the damage caused to land users as a result of hailstorms in the regions of Aragatsotn, Ararat, Armavir, Gegharkunik, Lori, Shirak, Tavush and Syunik in 2024 and 2025, in order to mitigate the damage to a certain extent.
