The funding for the "Refund of Interest Paid on Mortgage Loans" measure will be increased by about 12.6 billion drams
Today, the regular Cabinet meeting took place, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan.
The Government made a decision due to the need to properly implement the expenses for the "12001 Refund of Interest Paid on Mortgage Loans" measure of the "1239 Refund of Interest Paid on Mortgage Loans" program, envisaged by the 2025 state budget. The decision proposes to increase the expenses of the "12001 Refund of Interest Paid on Mortgage Loans" measure of the "1239 Refund of Interest Paid on Mortgage Loans" program envisaged by the 2025 state budget by 12,587,642.5 thousand drams.
The Government approved the proposal to sign the Agreement on Technical Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany. The basis was the protocol signed as a result of intergovernmental negotiations held in Yerevan on November 21, 2023, as well as the provisions of the Agreement on Technical Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany signed on July 27, 1998.
The Agreement provides for the following assistance: private economy development and primary and secondary vocational education in Armenia - up to 6,100,000 euros (six million one hundred thousand euros), sustainable energy for the climate-resilient development of Armenian communities - up to 6,100,000 euros (six million one hundred thousand euros), integrated development of Armenian communities - up to 3,100,000 euros (three million one hundred thousand euros), Armenian funds for research and specialists - up to 300,000 euros (three hundred thousand euros).
The Federal Government shall provide personnel and non-monetary services for the implementation of the above-mentioned 4 programs, as set out in point 1 of the Agreement, and, if necessary, financial resources, totaling 15,600,000 euros (fifteen million six hundred thousand euros). The Federal Government shall entrust the implementation of the aforementioned programs to the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ).
The Government decision proposes to expand the scope of customers conducting electronic procurement by including the Yerevan Urban Development Investment Programs Implementation Agency and 26 communities. As a result of the adoption of the decision, all communities will conduct their purchases for their needs through the electronic procurement system.
The government has adopted a decision that will ensure the process of implementing community/settlement development programs by local self-government bodies (affected settlements/communities) at the expense of royalties, which implies certain obligations for local self-government bodies and state bodies responsible for the process to ensure transparency and accountability in the distribution and use of state budget funds.
