The Government approves the program for providing support for paid public work to able-bodied persons from families recognized as insecure
Today, the regular Cabinet meeting took place, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Khachatryan.
The Government approved the program for providing support for paid public work to able-bodied persons from families recognized as insecure according to the Insecurity Assessment System. The implementation of the program is planned through the e-work.am platform. In particular, a program proposal must be submitted through the platform by the head of an organization, community or administrative district that has been operating in the specified sectors for at least three years and has an average of at least 10 employees per year, or a person authorized by him. The duration of the program is proposed to be set at 3-12 months. The employer signs an employment contract with the persons included in the program and for one person/day of work, the employer is proposed to provide an amount of 3,500 drams, including income tax, stamp duty, as well as social security payments in cases prescribed by law. In the case of 3,500 drams per day, taking into account the amounts of income tax, stamp duty, and social payments calculated from the salary in cases prescribed by law, the monthly salary will be around 73,000 drams.
The government has approved the bills "On Amendments to the Law on Administrative-Territorial Division of the Republic of Armenia" and "On Amendments to the Law on Local Self-Government". The bill envisages the formation of the Vagharshapat community cluster of the Armavir region of the Republic of Armenia, which includes the current Vagharshapat and Khoy communities, with 19 settlements included in the latter. Thus, it is purposed to involve 2 communities and 19 settlements, which will form one community as a result of their unification. The elections to the council of elders in the newly formed Vagharshapat community are planned to be held on November 16, 2025.
The government has adopted a resolution “On the withdrawal of land and its transfer with the right of free use.” According to it, the land plot will be separated from the real estate attached to the Yeghegnadzor school and will be provided with the right of free use to the Simonian Educational Foundation for the purpose of establishing the “Tumo” creative technologies center-boxes.
