Chief of the Prime Minister’s Staff Arayik Harutyunyan participated in the 2nd Armenian-Georgian expert conference entitled “Armenia-Georgia Strategic Partnership: Towards New Horizons of Cooperation”.
The Chief of the Prime Minister’s Staff spoke about Armenia-Georgia relations in recent years and noted with satisfaction that bilateral relations are developing dynamically. “Last year, a declaration of strategic partnership was signed between Armenia and Georgia in Tbilisi. This shows that our relations have reached a different level in terms of their development. As an official who has participated in almost all sessions of the Armenia-Georgia Intergovernmental Commission in recent years, I must say that this is the result of the high level of mutual trust that exists today between the leadership and governing forces of the two countries,” said Arayik Harutyunyan and added that in terms of Armenia, there is no other country with whose leaders there are more intensive contacts, including personal contacts, than between Armenia and Georgia, and emphasized that the impression is that this is also the case with Georgian partners. The Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister noted with satisfaction that bilateral discussions on each issue and the settlement of issues take place in an atmosphere of direct partnership.
Next, Arayik Harutyunyan and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Armenia Sharvashidze answered the questions of the conference participants.
The goal of the event is to provide a number of authoritative experts from the Georgian analytical field and media representatives with information on the priorities of the Armenian government's foreign, security, and economic policies, as well as to discuss issues related to bilateral relations.
