Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan receives newly appointed head of IMF Mission to Armenia
Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan today received the delegation led by the newly appointed Head of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Mission to Armenia, Alexander Tieman.
At the start of the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister congratulated Alexander Tieman on assuming the position of Head of the Armenian Mission, expressing confidence in the continuity of the long-standing effective cooperation with the IMF.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed in detail a wide range of issues related to the macroeconomic policy of the Republic of Armenia and recent economic developments. Special attention was paid to the Government's expenditure priorities in the coming years, including education, housing for forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno-Karabakh, and socio-economic inclusion, and a number of other areas.
The parties also exchanged views on possible areas of technical cooperation.
