Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan participates in the event organized on the occasion of the National Day of Iran

Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan participated in the event organized on the occasion of the National Day of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the 45th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution, during which he delivered a congratulatory message, in which he specifically said:

"Your Excellency Ambassador Sobhani,

Dear Ambassadors,

Dear Colleagues,

Ladies and gentlemen,

I warmly congratulate the friendly people of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the occasion of the 45th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution.

Armenia-Iran relations have centuries-old history based on mutual trust, respect and sincere friendship.

I want to note with satisfaction the active dialogue between our countries, which contributes to the stable development of Armenia-Iran partnership.

The governments of our countries show the necessary political will and make every effort to expand high-level political relations and interstate cooperation. The full agenda of our bilateral relations is a vivid proof of this.

We welcome the interest and practical involvement of Iranian companies in implementing projects of strategic importance for Armenia. We also attach great importance to the close contacts and constructive cooperation established between the leaders of Armenia and Iran, as well as between our executive and legislative authorities.

Dear Colleagues,

I would like to inform you that next week the next session of the Armenian-Iranian joint intergovernmental commission will be held in Tehran co-chaired by the Iranian Vice President Davoud Manzour and myself. I am sure that within the framework of the session we will have the opportunity to discuss a number of key issues, to summarize the work done, as well as to outline new promising programs of mutual interest.

Iran is an important partner for us, the friendly and constructive relations with which not only create good for our peoples, but are also a serious factor in ensuring stability and development in the entire region. In this context, I consider it important to emphasize that our government highly appreciates the clear position of the top leadership of Iran regarding the territorial integrity of the Republic of Armenia and the inviolability of its borders.

Taking this opportunity, I once again congratulate the friendly people of Iran. I sincerely hope that we have a historic opportunity to make joint efforts and we are ready to make them in the direction of further deepening our friendly relations for the benefit of the Armenian and Iranian peoples' well-being and regional peace."
