Issues on holding the events dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the famous Armenian composer Aram Khachaturian at a high level discussed at Government
Chaired by Chief of the Prime Minister's Staff, chairman of the jubilee committee on Aram Khachaturian's 120th anniversary Arayik Harutyunyan, the first meeting of the mentioned committee took place at the Government of Armenia.
A number of organizational issues aimed at holding the events dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the famous Armenian composer, conductor, People's Artist of the USSR Aram Khachaturian at a high level were discussed.
The members of the committee set up for coordinating the work within the framework of the jubilee events program presented the preparatory works and the upcoming tasks. Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Zhanna Andreasyan informed that about 40 applications have been received to be included in the list of events for the 120th anniversary of Aram Khachaturian. Within the framework of the program, tours, festivals, educational events, publication of a collection of letters, various references about Aram Khachaturian, an international competition, exhibition of unique materials, etc. are planned.
Arayik Harutyunyan emphasized the consistent work and cooperation of the concerned departments in order to effectively organize the coordination works.
The Chief of the Prime Minister's Staff gave a number of instructions, in particular, on presenting proposals in the discussed directions, ensuring proper public awareness.
