Arayik Harutyunyan participates in the meetings of the Boards of Market Control and Food Safety Inspectorates
Arayik Harutyunyan, Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, visited the Market Control and Food Safety Inspectorates, participated in the meetings of the latter's Boards.
Issues related to the activities of the mentioned inspectorates, legislative and sub-legislative changes regulating the spheres of non-food items and food safety, new control mechanisms and implemented reforms were discussed.
Arayik Harutyunyan emphasized the steps taken by the inspectorates to regulate the respective sectors. The necessity of strengthening the export, import, laboratory examinations, the registration and oversight of businessmen by the Food Safety Inspectorate, and the need to increase the quality of inspections in the field of food safety was emphasized.
Arayik Harutyunyan noted that the programs aimed at the development of the activities of the inspection bodies are of primary importance for the Government and gave specific instructions to those in-charge.
