Deputy PM Grigoryan receives Executive Secretary of GRECO
Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received the delegation led by Executive Secretary of Group of States against Corruption (GRECO) and Head of the Action against Economic Crime Department at Council of Europe Hanne Juncher. The Head of the EU delegation, Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin, Minister of Justice of Armenia Karen Andreasyan and the President of the Corruption Prevention Commission Haykuhi Harutyunyan were also present at the meeting.
During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister, noting that the fight against corruption is one of the priority and important directions declared by the Government, presented the works and upcoming reforms in Armenia in that direction, and also referred to the incentives for solving the problems of the anti-corruption agenda in reforms in other spheres.
The interlocutors discussed the implementation of the recommendations given in the Compliance Report of Fourth Evaluation issued by GRECO "Prevention of Corruption Among MPs, Judges and Prosecutors".
The Deputy Prime Minister, taking the opportunity of the meeting, thanked the Council of Europe and the European Union for the support provided to Armenia in the implementation of anti-corruption measures and particularly appreciated the use of expert potential and best practices in the field.
