Deputy PM Matevosyan chairs consultation on issues related to the disaster zone


Chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Hambardzum Matevosyan and with the participation of the leadership of the relevant state bodies, governors and community heads, the issues of the disaster zone were discussed on April 5.

Presenting the results of the state support program aimed at solving the housing problems of families left homeless as a result of the earthquake, Chairman of the Urban Development Committee Armen Ghularyan noted that 5419 families from Shirak, Lori and Aragatsotn Provinces have been recognized as beneficiaries since the beginning of the program, the housing problem of 5391 of which has been solved in the sidelines of the mentioned state support program, while the issue of 28 families of Jradzor community, and at their own request, will be solved by another state program envisaged by the Government decision N1411-L of 27.08.2020, in accordance with the joint approaches towards the families resettled from Jradzor community for the construction of Kaps reservoir, and with the full volume of the envisaged support.

During the discussion, the issue of further management of non-privatized housing units built and distributed within the framework of various state assistance programs for families left homeless after the earthquake, as well as the issue of non-main buildings installed/built after the earthquake were presented. Note that the last issue is included in the Government's 2021-2026 Action Plan, in particular, it is envisaged to create a legal basis for the regulation of the issue in 2021-2022, and from 2023, to implement the programs in accordance with the approaches and priorities set by the Government.
