Curriculum Vitae
Andranik Aram Simonyan was born on October 10, 1989 in Hoktemberyan.
In 2009, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Law of the RA Police Academy.
In 2013, he graduated with a master’s degree from the Chair of Law of the Academy of Public Administration of RA.
In 2013, he completed training at “School of the Prosecutor’s Office” SNCO.
In 2019-2020, he was a trainee of the RA Academy of Justice.
In 2009-2012, he worked in the legal examination department of the Legal Department of the RA Police, first as an inspector, then as a senior inspector.
In 2012-2013, he worked as an investigator in the third department (for combating crimes in the financial and credit system, money laundering and financing of terrorist) of the First directorate (for combating corruption and crimes against economic activity) of the Main directorate for Combating Organized Crime of the RA Police.
In 2014-2018, he worked as a prosecutor in the Prosecutor's Office of the administrative districts of Kentron and Nork-Marash in Yerevan.
Based on the proposal submitted by the Decision of the Supreme Judicial Council No SJC-38-D-86 of June 22, 2020, by the Decree of the RA President No NH-132-A of June 26, 2020, he was appointed judge of the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction of Lori Province.
On March 26, 2021, by the Decision of the RA Prime Minister No 298-A, he was appointed the Deputy Chairman of the RA Investigative Committee.
On March 31, 2021, by the Decree of the RA President No NH-55-A, he was appointed Deputy Director of the RA National Security Service.
On January 12, 2024, by the Decree of the RA President he was relieved of his post and on the same day, by the decision of the RA Prime Minister No 35-A he was appointed Deputy Director of the RA National Security Service.
On June 18, 2025, by the Decision of the RA Prime Minister No 517-A, he was appointed Acting Director of the RA National Security Service.
On June 28, 2025, by the Decision of the RA Prime Minister No 570-A, he was appointed Director of the RA National Security Service.
He holds the military rank of Major General.
He is a Candidate of Legal Sciences.
