Vahram Avanesyan: Inflationary pressure will not exceed the mark of 1.5 percent after joining the Customs Union

The inflationary pressure will not exceed the mark of 1.5 percent after joining the Customs Union. This is what Minister of Economy Vahram Avanesyan told the news conference, which was held today at the Government Press Center, while commenting on some media allegations that “Armenia is going to face unprecedented inflation after joining the Customs Union.”

According to the Minister, this estimate produced by media outlets is not true at all.

“We have some commodity groups, for which we are going to seek the Customs Union’s vote of exception. As soon as the list of exceptions is complete, we will send it to the Customs Union in order to begin the talks,” Mr. Avanesyan emphasized.
