Anti-Corruption Council

The council was established by a presidential decree signed on June 1, 2004 in an effort to coordinate the activities of authorized public agencies entrusted with the implementation of comprehensive and efficacious anti-corruption policies in the Republic of Armenia, elimination of corruption-conducive factors and upgrade of preventive action.
The Council is chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and is composed as follows: Vice President of the National Assembly, President of National Assembly Control Chamber, Chief of Government Staff, Minister of Justice, Adviser to RA President, Head of RA President’s Oversight Service, RA Prosecutor - General, President of the CBA, Head of State Commission on Promotion of Economic Competitiveness.
A presidential assistant-headed commission has been set up under council by-laws to monitor the process of anti-corruption strategy implementation.
Business Support Council

The council was established under a presidential decree signed on December 31, 2000 in an effort to promote private enterprise and investments, as well as to remove administrative barriers to entrepreneurship in Armenia.
The council is chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and is composed as follows: Chief Economic Adviser to RA President (in the capacity of vice-chairman), Ministers of Finance and Economy, Mayor of Yerevan, ADA CJSC Executive Director, President of Trade and Industry Chamber, business community representatives involved on the basis of rotation (50 businessmen altogether). Council members are elected yearly by Prime Minister’s decision.
Council on National Youth Policy by the Prime Minister

The council was established in line with RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan’s decree N. 785-A of September 17, 2009 in an effort to enhance efficiency of youth policy in the Republic of Armenia and encourage participation in decision-making processes.
The Council has the goal of contributing to the design and implementation of national youth policy, encouraging youth involvement in different spheres of public life and assisting youth organizations with their activities.
The Council incorporates representatives of both public stakeholders and civil society on the basis of parity. The Council is chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. The Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs who has the task of coordinating youth affairs is the deputy council chairman ex officio. The Council has a secretary who shall be a council member representing civil society.
Information Technology Development Support Council

The IT Development Support Council was established under a presidential decree signed on July 20 2001 in an effort to promote the development of information technologies in the Republic of Armenia.
The council is chaired by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia and is made up as follows: Senior Economic Adviser to RA President (deputy head of the council), RA deputy ministers of Trade and Economic Development, Education and Science, and Transport and Communications, Executive Director of Armenian Development Agency CJSC, experts representing the IT sector subject to rotation every six months on the basis of Prime Minister’s decree.
National Commission Dealing with Disability Affairs

The National Commission on Disability Affairs was established in line with RA Prime Minister’s Decree N. 98 of February 25, 2008 (formerly these powers were exercised by the Board of Disability Affairs).
Commission activities are organized and supervised by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs (head of the commission) and the ministry staff. The National Commission is composed of 17 members, inclusive of first deputy ministers of Finance, Territorial administration, Healthcare, as well as the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, the Chief Specialist of Government Staff’s Social Affairs Department, the head and staff of the corresponding department of RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (commission secretary), as well as the chief executive officers of 8 non-governmental organizations dealing with disability affairs.
RA National Council on Sustainable Development

The council was set up under a governmental decree issued on July 25, 2002 to provide for the design of sustainable development-oriented programs, as well as to foster and stimulate public participation in decision-making processes in the sphere of sustainable development.
The Council is headed by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia. The Council is made up of RA Vice-Prime Minister, RA Minister of Territorial Administration, RA Minister of Economy, RA Minister of Nature Protection, RA Minister of Health Care, RA Minister of Employment and Social Affairs, RA Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, RA Minister of Finance, RA Minister of Urban Development, RA Minister of Agriculture, RA Minister of Education and Science, the heads of the three National Assembly standing commissions, the RA NAS President, members of the Armenian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (Employers), farmers and civil society representatives.
Women’s Council by the RA Prime Minister

With a view to coordinating efforts aimed at tackling women’s issues in the Republic of Armenia, the Council on Women’s Affairs by the Prime Minister was established under the Prime Minister’s decree N. 862 of December 29, 2000.
The Council brings together outstanding women from executive and legislative authorities, as well as female representatives of non-governmental organizations, artistic unions and the sphere of culture.
The Council on Women’s Affairs has been instrumental in the design of the national program on improvement of women’s status and social standing for 2004-2010, adopted under the government decree N. 645 of 2004. In its capacity of advisory body, the Council has closely monitored progress in the implementation of the above-stated national program by making recommendations and proposals to enhance program efficiency.
Through immediate contribution of the Council on Women’s Affairs by the Prime Minister, various programs are implemented by the government, ministries and public agencies aimed at improving women’s social and economic status, protecting their rights, offering healthcare services and providing protection against discrimination.
