Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan paid a working visit to Artik town of Shirak Marz to learn first-hand the consequences of and the damage caused by the flood of June 24. The Head of Government was accompanied by Minister of Emergency Situations Armen Yeritsyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Development David Lokyan and Minister of Urban Development Narek Sargsyan.

The Premier visited the flood-affected districts of Artik, calling at a local school and kindergarten. As he talked to the citizens affected by the flood, Hovik Abrahamyan gave assurances that the Government will stand by and support them in the proper manner. At a briefing with news reporters, the Premier said that while the situation was worrisome, citizens will get compensation after appropriate calculations.
