By Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan’s decision, Ruben Melikyan was appointed as Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Armenia.

Ruben Melikyan was born in Yerevan in 1982.

He graduated from school N20 after John Giragosian, then continued his studies at YSU Law Department (Bachelor, Master’s Degree, Post-Graduate Course). In 2008, took a six-month course at Tufts University - Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy - under a program supported by Tavityan Foundation.

Since 2003, he has been teaching at YSU Law Department.

2006 - Candidate of legal sciences.

2010 - Associate Professor.

2007 – 2012, First, assistant to judge, then adviser to the President of the Court of Appeals.

He is author of over three dozen scientific papers.
