RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message to prominent Armenian composer Edward Mirzoyan on his 87th birth anniversary. The message states in part:
"Dear Maestro Edward Mirzoyan!
From the bottom of my heart, I congratulate you on your 87th birth anniversary.
As an outstanding representative of the Armenian school of composers, you have authored such classical pieces of music as have earned universal recognition for both the Motherland and yourself, which enjoy a well-deserved place in the Armenian and worldwide musical treasury.
Your important creative legacy has been appreciated and received high state awards both in the Soviet times and presently.
By leaving an indelible trace in Armenia's musical history, you have contributed to our society
