RA Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan received President of FIFA Joseph Blatter and President of UEFA Michel Platini. The meeting was attended by FIFA's European Countries Development Manager Eva Pasquel, RA Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Armen Grigoryan, President of the Armenian Football Federation Ruben Hairapetyan.

The Prime Minister welcomed Joseph Blatter and Michel Platini to Armenia and thanked them for their support and thoughtfulness of the development of the Armenian football. The FIFA and UEFA presidents mentioned that the assistance programs would hardly be able to succeed without the backing of the Government of Armenia and went on to emphasize the contribution made by the Government through free allocation of plots of land under new playing fields, other schemes of material support to the Football Federation of Armenia.

The heads of FIFA and UEFA further said that their mission consisted in the provision of adequate conditions so as young people, for instance in Armenia, might show all their worth in this game.

On behalf of the government of Armenia, Prime Minister Serzh Sargsyan expressed readiness to henceforth make every effort for the promotion of football in our country and added that the development of physical training and sports was high on the policy agenda of the Armenian government. The Prime Minister said to be satisfied with the activities carried out by our national football federation and its head, though he stated at the same time that the government had far greater expectations in this field and that any future support to the AFF would aim these target goals.
