More than 10,000 compatriots of Nagorno-Karabakh have already found employment
Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Ruben Sargsyan and press secretary of the Minister Zaruhi Manucharyan presented from the "Humanitarian Center" of the Government details about the state support program for providing employment for compatriots forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh.
Before the presentation of the program, Zaruhi Manucharyan reported two important news related to rents, utility bills and pensions. Accordingly, within the framework of the 40,000+10,000 AMD support program, payments for January are scheduled to be made by February 7. And pensioners of Nagorno-Karabakh are scheduled to be paid according to a clear schedule, until the 6th working day of the given month.
As for the employment state support program, it was noted that it has three components. the first component: vocational training and work, the second component: internship and work and the third component: the above two components together and work.
Detailing on these components, Ruben Sargsyan noted that all three have certain defined amounts of payments. During the training period, a scholarship in the amount of AMD 50,000 is provided and the tuition fee will be reimbursed up to an amount of AMD 50,000. In the case of internship, 165,000 AMD will be given to the employer for three months, which will include taxes, that is, the amount that the forcibly displaced person from Nagorno Karabakh will receive as a salary, after which compensation for additional taxes will be given. And if we are talking about the training and internship component, both the scholarship and the tuition fee, and the three-month internship amount and tax reimbursement will be paid.
According to the deputy minister, without the use of the above-mentioned components, 1010 people have already been employed, who have satisfied the requirements of the proposed works. And in general, more than 10,000 compatriots of Nagorno Karabakh have already started working. For example, in the field of education, 212 teachers have been sent to regions and got jobs according to their profession, 202 people in the field of healthcare got jobs in different medical institutions. It was emphasized once again that all compatriots seeking job can apply to the 49 regional offices of the Unified Social Service operating throughout the Republic of Armenia, receive on-the-spot advice and be directed according to the programs.
Zaruhi Manucharyan then referred to frequently asked questions about social assistance programs.
- In case of absence from the Republic of Armenia, is the person deprived of support?
Zaruhi Manucharyan answered: "After returning to the Republic of Armenia, the person can receive the support of the given month. At the same time, I would like to inform you that after returning to Armenia, the person can also receive the support provided for the previous month, if he was absent from the Republic of Armenia for less than 10 days."
- What is the deadline for registering and applying for pension so that it is calculated retroactively?
Zaruhi Manucharyan answered: "I would like to inform you that in order to receive a pension and benefits from October, it is necessary to register from December 11, 2023 to March 11, 2024. At the same time, let me inform that the registration process is coordinated and carried out by the Migration and Citizenship Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. She also added that for the month of February it is also planned that the Armenians of Nagorno Karabakh will be served on an extraordinary basis and during the month of Februarythey will also be served on Saturdays in the passport departments.
- Can the social support paid to compatriots of Nagorno-Karabakh be confiscated, and if the citizen has such a problem, what to do?
Zaruhi Manucharyan answered: "I would like to inform you that the social assistance paid to forcibly displaced compatriots within the framework of social assistance programs is not subject to confiscation, seizure, or offset against obligations by the decisions of the Government of the Republic of Armenia. In case of such a problem, it is necessary to submit an application to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs' reception department of citizens, and one can also submit an application to the e-mail address info@mlsa.am or send an application through the erequest.am platform”.
