Our forcibly displaced compatriots from Nagorno-Karabakh can submit applications for pensions and allowances starting from December 11

Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Anna Zhamakochyan and press secretary of the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Zaruhi Manucharyan presented from the "Humanitarian Center" the process of social support programs for our compatriots forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh.

As noted by Anna Zhamakochyan, the process of providing social support continues. 109,395 people have already been paid within the framework of the 100,000 AMD one-time support program. As for the 40+10 thousand AMD program, according to the deputy minister, 104,027 people received support for the month of October. Payments for November have also begun, with 20,649 people already paid for November. Payments to 37,100 beneficiaries will begin on December 6 within the framework of the 50,000 AMD monetary support program.

Zaruhi Manucharyan reminded that the relevant decisions were adopted at the November 30 Cabinet meeting, which defined the procedures for the payment of pensions and alowances to our compatriots who were forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh. Accordingly, in the Republic of Armenia, the person whose pension file is available in the NK pension base, can present application from December 11, 2023. In this case, the person's right to a pension will not be reviewed, and the work or military service experience will remain the same.
Our compatriots can submit applications through the website www.socservice.am from December 11, 2023 until June 1, 2024. The procedures are simplified. There is no need to attach documents to the online application.

In the event that it is necessary to submit documents in order to assign a pension or allowance, it is necessary to appear in person at any regional center of the Unified Social Service.

If a person was not a pensioner in Nagorno-Karabakh, but acquired the right to pension in the period from September 1 to December 11 2023, then the person will be assigned a pension and the service experience will be calculated in accordance with the procedure established by the pension legislation of Armenia. In this case, the three-month and six-month periods defined by the legislation for applying for a pension will be calculated from December 11, 2023.

The press secretary of the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs also added that if a person received a social pension related to age, disability or loss of a breadwinner in NK, then in the Republic of Armenia he or she will be assigned an allowance for old age, disability or loss of a breadwinner. "It is necessary to keep in mind that in all cases, for receiving pension and allowance, it is necessary to have a registration at the address of the place of residence in the Republic of Armenia, and the amount of the pension and allowance will be calculated according to the procedure and amount defined by the pension legislation of Armenia," said Zaruhi Manucharyan.
