99.2 percent of forcibly displaced persons from Nagorno Karabakh have been registered

Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan and Nazeli Baghdasaryan presented the work of the "Humanitarian Center".

As Nazeli Baghdasaryan noted, there is no change in the number of arrivals. 100,632 people forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh are in Armenia. "The number of registered and already identified persons is increasing hour by hour. As of now, it is 99.2 percent. We are confident that this number will reach 100 percent in the next one or two days," said the Prime Minister's press secretary.

Nazeli Baghdasaryan also noted that the process of opening bank accounts continues intensively. "The bank card acounts of those people who already had cards were transferred by the Central Bank to the Unified Social Service, and the 100,000 AMD one-time sums of these persons have already been transferred. As for others, the process will continue from Monday, there will be no transfers on Saturday and Sunday. And for those who have not yet opened bank accounts, we once again urge them to visit the nearest commercial bank and open a card bank account so that these funds can be allocated. I want to remind that in the future all social programs will be transferred in this cashless way, the process will be continuous."

It was also noted that 13,415 people or 13.5 percent of those who arrived have already been registered in primary medical facilities. According to the data presented by the Ministry of Health, 303 people are receiving inpatient treatment, 113 of them are still in serious condition, 11 are in extremely serious condition, 5 children are still in the intensive care unit.

According to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport, 8,000 students are already visiting various educational institutions in Armenia, which is 32 percent of the children who have arrived in Armenia from Nagorno-Karabakh.

Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Gnel Sanosyan presented the distribution of people by regions, as of 17:00 their number is 76,459. The distribution by regions is as follows: Aragatsotn region: 4,093 people, Ararat region: 18,234 people, Armavir region: 8,064 people, Gegharkunik region: 4,919 people, Lori region: 4,487 people, Kotayk region: 22,150 people, Shirak region: 3,598 people, Syunik region: 5540 people, Vayots Dzor region: 2285 people and Tavush region: 3189 people.

The minister emphasized that there is a greater accumulation in settlements and cities near Yerevan than in more distant regions. Gnel Sanosyan presented the communities where more people are located, in particular: 3,000 people in Ashtarak, 10,000 in Masis, 5,000 in Artashat. Gnel Sanosyan urged our compatriots to choose the least populated places to live, in order to carry out the works more efficiently.

The Minister also noted that, as of now, around 58 thousand people have used the state-provided accommodations. It was also noted that the process of moving people from temporary accommodations - guest houses, hotels, to rented apartments continues intensively.

The Minister once again urged that our compatriots forcibly displaced from Nagorno Karabakh who want to change their temporary place of residence can apply to regional and community administrations and use rental programs.

"We are now carrying out more thorough work with the regional administrations in order to have an image of all settlements, to understand how many people there are in each settlement. This image gives us plenty of material to work with. By seeing distribution, we understand what needs there are and how they should be addressed. We assess and take care of the needs: food, hygiene items, stationery, bags, etc.," said Gnel Sanosyan.

These days, the Minister is also making regional visits, he has already been to 6 regions. "Today I also visited Shirak and Lori regions. We hold consultations with the staffs of regional administrations and community heads, discuss the programs being implemented by the government. I think these are quite useful visits and we will continue to carry out visits to other regions as well."

Nazeli Baghdasaryan once again reminded that in addition to the one-time 100,000 AMD, the state will also take care of appartment rental issues during the first six months, allocating 40,000 AMD to each person and another 10,000 AMD for utility costs.
