Constitution Day Congratulatory Message By Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan

“Dear compatriots,

I am congratulating you all on the Day of Constitution - the country’s basic law.

On July 5, 1995, for the first time in our modern history, a national referendum was held to vote for a constitution. That very day the vast majority of the citizens of Armenia opted for a social, democratic and rule-of-law statehood. We showed what kind of country we wanted to built, reiterating that we saw no alternative to abiding by the basic law’s fundamental provisions.

Reiterating my congratulations, I feel confident that together we will be able to build a better and safer Armenia.”
