2 multi-apartment residential buildings to be built in Ararat: the issue of providing housing for 48 families will be resolved

Today, the regular Cabinet meeting was held, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Khachatryan.

The Government approved the investment program for the construction of the buildings at 20 and 37/1 S. Shahumyan Streets of Ararat community, Ararat region, presented by “ML Mining” LLC. An investment of more than 3 billion drams is planned, by which 2 multi-apartment residential buildings with 198 apartments will be built by 2030. Of these apartments, 48 apartments with an area of about 68 square meters will be transferred to the Ararat community with the right of free ownership in fulfillment of the contractual obligations previously concluded between the Soviet-period municipality, the community and residents. According to the substantiation, there were multi-apartment residential buildings at these addresses back in the Soviet years. During the demolition of the mentioned buildings, contracts were signed between the residents and the head of the then municipality, according to which the residents vacated the apartments on the condition that they would receive an apartment if a new building was built at the same addresses in the future. The remaining 150 apartments will be sold by the company to ensure profit, as well as the community will be allocated a 686 square meter area for a new library with the right of free ownership.

The government gave consent to alienating a plot of land to the Gyumri Information Technology Center Scientific and Educational Foundation through direct sale. Accordingly, an opportunity will be created to implement the foundation's charitable program. The "Green Technologies Hub" educational center and 6 "Chillwithtech" technological shelters will be built in the Marmashen village of Akhuryan community. It is planned to equip them with the necessary equipment, computers, innovative solutions and provide the opportunity for simultaneous teaching of up to 30 beneficiaries. An investment of 100 million drams is planned to be made for the implementation of the program over the next three years. It is planned to create 5 new start-up companies. The program has also been approved by the Embassy of Japan in the Republic of Armenia and has received the right to receive a grant from them. The program is also co-financed by the German "GIZ" organization.

The Government established the cases of departure of freight vehicles from the Republic of Armenia through the State Border checkpoints without entering a parking lot, the priorities for releasing individual freight vehicles from parking lots, the procedure for connecting those carrying out activities of organizing parking lots to the queue management system, the requirements for implementing activities of organizing parking lots, the maximum amount of the fee for the queue registration service at parking lots. The State Border checkpoints from which the departure of freight vehicles from the Republic of Armenia can be carried out only after entering and exiting a parking lot have also been established. As noted by the Chairman of the State Revenue Committee, Eduard Hakobyan, these new regulations will contribute to the facilitation and promotion of export processes. They relate to the management of queues at border checkpoints and the creation of parking lots.
