Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the National Polytechnic University Foundation Arayik Harutyunyan attended the year-end closing event of the 2025-2026 academic year of the Yerevan Basic School of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia Foundation.
The event was also attended by Gor Vardanyan, the rector of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia Foundation, the university and school administration, parents, students, and other guests.
Within the framework of the event, Arayik Harutyunyan made a speech, welcomed those present, congratulated on the occasion of the event and emphasized: “The school has an important mission in our educational system. The technological direction, which is the basis of this school, is also the basis for the economy of Armenia. You know that Armenia pays great attention to technological development and we need really good specialists so that our children, becoming specialists, can serve and participate in that agenda. You have seen that global technological giants have begun to operate in Armenia, and it is becoming a priority for us to make a major investment in the direction of technological education for the continuous development of that sector. I am very happy that today the Polytechnic university pays great attention to this and 204 students are summarizing and celebrating the end of another academic year today.
In addition to technological education, I believe that one of the important missions of the school should be to prepare good citizens. One of the substantive theses of the Polytechnic is the motto “I hold my piece of the sky”. It is very important that we educate our students, our children with this motto,” Arayik Harutyunyan noted and emphasized that the basis of the strength and resilience of the state is the full knowledge of the rights and responsibilities of the citizen. “I want us to educate our children in this spirit. In addition to technological education, which is very important, we also educate good citizens in this school. And the traditions that are set by the university leadership, by the school administration, are very encouraging. And I think that the school will have great success and is already having it,” added the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister.
Arayik Harutyunyan once again congratulated on the occasion of the event, wished the children success and emphasized that with the efforts of the Board of Trustees, the university and the school leadership, the school's level will improve even more in the coming years.
Gor Vardanyan, Rector of the Armenian National University Foundation, and Eliza Gyulgyulyan, Director of the Basic School of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia Foundation delivered speeches.
