The government has adopted a decision, which envisages setting the size of the honorarium in the event of signing a regular contract by servicemen serving under the “Defender of the Fatherland” program. As noted by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Arman Sargsyan, in the event of signing a regular contract for a period of 2 years, the amount of the honorarium has been set at 1.5 million drams, and in the event of signing a regular contract for a period of 5 years, at 5 million drams.
"The deadline for transferring to contractual service under the "Defender of the Fatherland" program is also being changed, as a result of which servicemen who have completed 4 months of compulsory military service can submit an application for transferring to contractual military service under the program, instead of the previous 6 months," the deputy minister said.
