Arayik Harutyunyan meets with the President of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems






Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan met with Anthony Banbury, President and CEO of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES).

During the meeting, the joint programs implemented with IFES in Armenia since 2018 aimed at strengthening democratic governance and developing credible electoral processes were highly appreciated.

During the conversation, it was noted that ensuring free, fair and transparent elections continues to be one of the priorities of the Government. In this context, it was emphasized that the 2026 elections are viewed as an opportunity to strengthen democratic institutions and increase public trust.

The parties also touched upon the upcoming electoral processes, including local government elections, and emphasized the importance of continuing long-term and coordinated cooperation.
