Anti-Corruption Council |
|
|
| The Council was established by a presidential decree dated June 1, 2004, in an effort to coordinate the activities of those public agencies authorized to implement a comprehensive and efficacious anti-corruption policy in Armenia with the purpose of eliminating the underlying causes behind the emergence and thrive of corruption, as well as to improve State policies aimed at the prevention thereof. The Council is chaired by Prime Minister A. Margaryan. It is composed of the Vice President of the National Assembly, the President of the Control Chamber of the National Assembly, the Minister-Chief of Government Staff, the Minister of Justice, the Adviser to RA President and the Head of the Supervision Service of RA Presidency, the RA Prosecutor - General, the President of the CBA, the Chairman of the State Commission for the Promotion of Economic Competitivity. In accordance with the Terms of Reference of the ACC, a presidential assistant-headed commission has been set up to monitor the implementation of the anti-corruption strategy.

Business Support Council |
The Business Support Council was created by a decree of the RoA President dated December 31 2000 for the purposes of supporting business, promoting investment, and eliminating administrative barriers. The Council is chaired by the RoA Prime Minister. The Council is made up of the Senior Economic Advisor to the RoA President (who is the Deputy Chairman of the Council), the RoA Minister of Trade and Economic Development, the RoA Minister of Finance and Economy, the Mayor of Yerevan, the Executive Director of the "Armenian Development Agency" CJSC, and representatives of the business community, who are selected to the Council on the basis of a rotation principle (44 businessmen). They rotate once every six months, subject to a decision of the RoA Prime Minister.

Information Technology Development Support Council |
The IT Development Support Council was created by a decree of the RoA President dated July 20 2001 for the purpose of supporting the development of information technology. The Council is chaired by the RoA Prime Minister. The Council is made up of the Senior Economic Advisor to the RoA President (who is the Deputy Chairman of the Council), the RoA deputy ministers of Trade and Economic Development, Education and Science, and Transport and Communications, the Executive Director of the "Armenian Development Agency" CJSC, and experts who represent the IT sector, who rotate once every six months subject to a decision of the RoA Prime Minister.

Women's Council adjunct to the RoA Prime Minister |
This Council was created by a decree of RoA Prime Minister dated December 29 2000. The objective of the Council is to conduct comprehensive studies of women's issues and to seek effective solutions. The Council has 23 members, among whom are representatives of NGOs and creative unions, as well as officials of the RoA Government Staff, the respective ministries, and agencies (mainly women).

Youth Affairs Council adjunct to the RoA Prime Minister |
This Council was created by a decree of the Prime Minister dated November 7 2000 to ensure social protection of the young people, to achieve comprehensive utilization of their creative potential, and to coordinate matters concerning the participation of the youth in the social, economic, political, and spiritual-cultural life of society. The Council is made up of the RoA Deputy Minister of Culture and Youth Affairs (who is the Chairman of the Council), the Head of the Social Affairs Department of the Staff of the RoA Government, and representatives of RoA ministries and youth NGOs.

Religious Affairs Council adjunct to the Prime Minister |
This Council was created by a decree of the RoA Prime Minister dated August 12 2002 in order to enhance the efficiency of public policies in the area of religion in the Republic of Armenia.
The Council is made up of representatives of RoA ministries dealing with religious affairs, the RoA National Academy of Science, the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church, the Armenian Catholic Church of Armenia, and the Evangelical Church of Armenia. The Minister-Chief of Staff of the RoA Government is a member of the Council ex officio (as the head of the authorized public body in matters of religion).

Council on Invalids Affairs |
The Council was established by RA Prime Minister's Decree of October 10, 2006 in order to enhance the effectiveness of State policies aimed at the social integration and social protection of disabled persons in the Republic of Armenia. This Council, which consists of 27 members, includes Chair of RA National Assembly Commission on Social, Health Care and Environmental Protection Affairs, RA First Deputy Ministers of Finance and Economy, Territorial Administration, Public Health Care, First Deputy Mayor of Yerevan, RA Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, Head of RA Government Staff Social Affairs Department (coordinator of council activities), Assistant to RA Prime Minister, heads of corresponding departments within the Staffs of RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and RA Ministry of Defense, as well as leaders of 17 non-governmental organizations dealing with the questions of social protection of invalids.
