 ADVISORS TO THE PRIME MINISTER OF THE REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA

   The advisors to the Republic of Armenia Prime Minister shall communicate assignments of the RoA Prime Minister to the ministries and other central and regional public administration bodies of the Republic of Armenia on behalf of the Prime Minister; hold consultative sessions; facilitate the process of resolving everyday governance issues; request, upon necessity, information from the respective public administration bodies; draft legislation; and submit such legislation to the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister has the power to distribute tasks between his advisors.

   Decree number 508 of the RoA Prime Minister dated June 30 2005 defines the duties of the Advisors to the Prime Minister in the various sectors they cover.

The aforementioned decree of the Prime Minister provides that advisors who perform their duties in any of the sectors mentioned above shall:

a) Analyze and study the situation in the respective public administration sector and present a report, statement, or recommendation to the Republic of Armenia Prime Minister;

b) If the necessity arises, request documents, materials, and information from the respective public administration body at the instruction of the Republic of Armenia Prime Minister;

c) At the instruction of the Republic of Armenia Minister, and on the basis of his studies or analyses, recommend to the Republic of Armenia Prime Minister that consultative sessions be convened;

d) Issue his/her opinion on draft legal acts submitted to him/her for feedback;

e) At the instruction of the Republic of Armenia Prime Minister, hold meetings with citizens to discuss their appeals, complaints, or suggestions, and report the results to the Republic of Armenia Prime Minister;

f) Perform other specific tasks assigned by the Republic of Armenia Prime Minister.
