I congratulate all local self-government staff on their professional holiday.
Armenia’s 20 year-old local-self government system has been playing a key role in the statehood-building process. The system has proved its viability both as a community development catalyst and as a driving force behind our nationwide progress.
The most important precondition for local self-government system’s efficiency is our citizens’ active participation in decision-making and implementation processes.
I am glad to note that this activity has become a decisive factor in the shaping of efficacious local government. It is the best guarantee for sustainable development.
The issues relating to the further improvement of the system of local government, enhanced volume and effectiveness of various community-related services are kept in spotlight by the Government.
I am confident that the local self-government authorities will continue to comply with their tasks for common progress and prosperity.
