Labeling of some products allowed month’s deferment

According to the Law on Trade and Services, a number of products are subject to mandatory labeling. The applicable law provides that as of this May 1 labeling should be mandatory for vitamins, vaccines, medicines, perfumes and other products.

At the Government Press Center-hosted press conference that followed today’s Cabinet meeting, Deputy Finance Minister Vakhtang Mirumyan said that many SMEs are still running short of sales.

The Government approved draft amendments to the Law on Trade and Services, which allow SMEs to sell non-labeled products until the deadline of June 1, 2015.
