Chaired by Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, the Reforestation and Forestry Development Fund (RFDF) Board of Trustees held a regular meeting in the Office of Government. The Board discussed the Fund’s performance and financial statements in 2016.

RFDF Executive Director Yury Javadyan reported back the activities aimed at developing and implementing reforestation programs in the year under review, as well as the acquisition, management and effective use of financial resources. The Board of Trustees approved the statements. The meeting next approved the fund’s staffing and administrative expenses for 2017, after which Yuri Javadyan introduced the programs to be implemented in 2017.

The Executive Director said they were planning to complete the reforestation of 20 hectares by Lake Sevan, as well as the reforestation of 35 hectares of land adjacent to Nubarashen district. In addition, reforestation and fencing work will be carried out on 100 hectares of land in Hrazdan forestry.
