PM Receives UAE Ambassador
Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan received today UAE Ambassador to Armenia Jassim Mohamed Al Qasem.
The Prime Minister noted that close ties have been established between Armenia and the Arab world, which are fostering successful development of interstate relations.
As Karen Karapetyan said, the high level of UAE-Armenia political dialogue is an opportunity to upgrade bilateral economic relations to a new qualitative level, for which there is sufficient potential and opportunities. In this context, the Head of Government stressed the need to boost the activities of the joint intergovernmental commission.
The UAE Ambassador congratulated Karen Karapetyan on his appointment as Prime Minister and wished him every success. He expressed confidence that cooperation will further develop and strengthen between the two governments.
The interlocutors concurred in that while bilateral relations have been developing dynamically in recent years, however, efforts need to be made to step up trade turnover. Touching upon the prospects of developing cooperation in agriculture, food industry, tourism, infrastructure and other areas, the parties discussed issues related to the promotion and attraction of investments.
