In this context, the Prime Minister highlighted the role of the Armenian-Polish intergovernmental commission and expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the Commission’s last December meeting. Conveying warm greetings and best wishes on behalf of Polish Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz, Jerzy Nowakowski stressed the importance of deepening and expanding bilateral relations. He advised that several Polish companies are interested in implementing investment projects in our country and importing Armenian products. Steps were said underway to this end.

The Ambassador expressed confidence that the ongoing work will help enhance economic ties and commodity turnover between Armenia and Poland to new level in the near future. At the same time, Jerzy Nowakowski emphasized that Armenia may become a gateway for Polish enterprises to get access to Eurasian markets.

Referring to bilateral cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, Jerzy Nowakowski said work is underway to open a center for Armenian Studies at the Jagiellonian University that will help implement joint projects in the field of education. At the same time, the Ambassador thanked the Armenian authorities for thoughtfulness of the needs of the Polish community in Armenia.
